Work Study and Student Employment

Career Fairs, workshops and networking events are listed on JobsOnline and the Career Services bulletin board in the hall behind the main elevators.

• Students and Alumni are invited to attend our Automotive Career Fair on Thursday, Oct. 3, 1-2:30 pm in L460. No need to pre-register – just show up ready to introduce yourself and learn about job options in automotive technology.

On Campus Recruiting: Stop by the tabling area in the City View Café to visit with recruiters from local companies. A schedule is posted on the Career Services bulletin board.

ConnextMSP: Students and young professionals can join the ConnextMSP network to grow your professional network and find local job/internship opportunities.

Career and Academic Planning for Science & Health Science (CAP-SH)

• CAP-SH is a Student-Faculty mentorship program with a series of activities and events to help with career and academic planning. Recruiting now for fall semester. Students may participate for up to two semesters.
• Eligibility:
  • Current enrollment in at least 6 credits at Saint Paul College
  • Interest in science or health career path (AAS health science programs that are direct patient care related and have a transfer path to a 4-year degree)
• Steps:
  • Complete the application form (application does not guarantee acceptance to the program)
  • Watch your student email for follow-up
  • Attend at least three meetings with your faculty mentor (we will assign a mentor to you)
  • Attend at least five CAP-SH or co-curricular events (a list will be provided)
  • Participants who complete all requirements earn a monetary stipend

Career Services Optional Free Course on D2L contains career advice handouts, example resumes, links to recorded webinars and additional resources. This course should show in your course list (currently enrolled students only); contact Career Services if it does not.
